Candy Buffets
CANDY BUFFET FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How much candy should I purchase? That is a very good question! The key to a great candy buffet is buying enough candy. You don't really want to base
your candy purchase on how many guests you have attending, but rather how the candy display will look and feel to your guests. You want a “wow” factor for
your guests. You want your candy buffet to have presence! Most candy buffet experts suggest to make it look gorgeous, start with the table, not the guest count.
Take 5 to 10 types of candy, and buy 15 to 20 pounds each, whether you actually need that much or not. Of course these are only guidelines and we will work
with you and your budget. At bare minimum, we do suggest a ½ lb of candy per guest. If you have 200 guests we would suggest at least 100lbs of candy. Again,
these are only suggestions and not hard set rules.
When should I start planning my candy buffet? When planning any event, especially weddings, it is always better to plan as early as possible to ensure that
we are available the date you need us and to ensure we can get the candy you really want. At bare minimum, 60 days before your event would be sufficient. But
some candies, such as candy in the shape of a heart, are only available for us to purchase seasonally. So if you are having a fall wedding but really want our
Valentine's Day Deluxe Jelly Belly candy mix, we need to order that no later then the beginning of February to make sure we have it for your fall wedding. So with
that in mind, plan 8 to 12 months in advance to ensure your candy buffet is perfect!
Do I still need to give out favors? No, the candy buffet is meant to replace traditional favors. Instead of giving everyone the same thing, you are letting your
guests pick and choose what they like. Your guests are sure to see your choice of a candy buffet thoughtful and ingenious! Favors can be a hit or miss. You
could end up with a lot of favors to take back home with you once the event is over. With a candy buffet, we can almost guarantee their will be little to none left
for you to take back home with you!
What kind of candy should I buy for my buffet? The most popular trend is to purchase candy based on your wedding colors, seasonal colors or theme. It is
entirely up to you. We build each buffet based on information you provide us. If you have no idea what candy to offer then going with a color scheme is a great
option for your buffet. It will look gorgeous as a main focal point at your event. Just tell us the colors you want to go with and we will suggest the candies available
in those colors. You would be amazed at what is available. If you would rather choose your favorite candies for your buffet, you can do that too! We want to
provide you with your dream candy buffet!
What are all the costs involved in building my candy buffet? The following is a list of items or services that you will need to budget for when planning your
